Though poker is a game of chance, and your game is as good as your
hand, there are ways to get the most out of your hand even with a bad
hand. Though this hand won’t likely win the game, it will help
you become a better player.

Learning your opponent’s habits is also very important to your
game. Often times, players have certain expressions and gestures
they use, usually without noticing them, that occur when certain things
happen. For instance, someone who is bluffing may bring their
hand to their face every time they do this. After a while, people
learn to recognize this gesture and know it signifies the player is
bluffing. These types of expressions and gestures are known as
poker tells.

By definition, a poker tell is any habit, behavior, or physical
reaction that gives other players more information about your
hand. The more you play with the same opponents, the more you
will come to recognize such occurrences.

Listed here are tips that can help you spot poker tells. Remember
that in poker there are many contradictions and exceptions. Also,
experienced players often give false tells in order to fool other
players.

Watch the eyes. Many experienced players wear caps or sunglasses
while playing because they know that the eyes rarely lie. For
example, many players can’t help but stare at big hole cards, so they
peek for a longer period of time.

Facial expression. Here too, many experienced players try to
disguise their facial expression by wearing a cap or looking down so as
to avoid the classic stare down that poker pros are famous for like
when trying to study a person’s face to try and detect nervousness
detecting a weak hand, repetitive body characteristics like a body
“tic”.

Weak is Strong/Strong is Weak. In its simplest form, this usually
applies to novice players but can frequently apply to pros as
well. Most players like to act, and when they have a great hand,
they will often appear disinterested thereby, sometimes tricking their
opponents. Adversely, a player who raises the level of his or her
voice while raising the level of the pot, trying to look intimidating,
may actually be bluffing.

Anxiety. Anxiety typically occurs when a player is either
confronted or facing confrontation. Psychologists often call this
the “Fight or Flight” response. This is believed to link back to
cave man days where physical changes happened such as muscle flexing,
dilation of the pupils of the eyes, heart palpitations, ETC. In
poker, a player with a big hand is often ready for confrontation and
may exhibit any or all of these characteristics. You may notice
the player’s chest expanding abnormally, or his or her voice become
higher than usual.

While these are just a few of the poker tells you may notice in your
opponents, they are of the most common to occur. Being able to
spot them is important and essential to your being able to bluff, and
may even help you avoid such tells yourself.

Unless you’ve been living in a cave for the past 5 years you can’t help but have noticed the surge of interest in online poker. Everywhere from bus stops to TV commercials promote the game and the casinos that allow you to play. It’s a huge global industry! Poker has it’s own celebrities and stars of TV and film have also jumped on the band wagon to become poker playing celebrities in their own right.

The question for me has always been can ‘normal’ people like me actually make any money playing poker? And flowing on from that, can you trust the sites that provide the poker tables and the people you’re playing alongside. No, I don’t mean the fact that ‘Bulldog47′ is actually a German housewife and not the bearded Texan her avatar picture makes her out to be! Are these players even people at all – or are they ‘bots,’ computer run players designed to rob me of my hard earned chips! And if there ARE such poker bots where do I get my hands on one and start making some cash while I sleep!

Poker bots – or poker robots – are the distant relatives of the great chess computers. There’s something inspiring about man taking on machine in a test of mental agility … and it’s even more exciting when there’s a chance of winning some money from your digital adversary!
I’ve been on a mission to research and test the various bots on the market and see if they really can beat man at his own game.

This time I would like to take a look at Florida’s NFL football teams which are all performing very high-quality. The NFL Tampa Bay Buccaneers are right in the deep of things in the NFC South and still have a chance to either win the division or make the playoffs as a wild card. The NFL Bucs have a good defense against the really good teams, and they fight back. The Jacksonville Jaguars are 10-4; they haven’t had 10 wins since 1999. I know that some of the games haven’t been worth watching and they still need a little push in offense, but excluding a cave in, the Jags will be a NFL playoff team this year.

The best coaching job of all has been done by Nick Saban with the Miami Dolphins. He inherited a team with no offense and scored big with the draft of running back Ronnie Brown, who teamed with Ricky Williams, gave the Dolphins a pretty good ground game. Even with journeyman Gus Ferrotte at quarterback, the Fins have gotten wide receiver Chris Chambers to reach his potential with a 1,000 yard season and the team has clawed and scratched to a 7-7 record.

One thing with Saban is sure; his defense will be solid. Look out AFC East; this guy will get the job done. So Florida fans; enjoy your success while you have it. We saw how long it took for the Jags and Dolphins to get back to respectability and how quickly the Bucs fell after winning the Super Bowl.

Over 90% of slot players are what I call the non-high limit crowd. Typically, it’s defined as a group of players that take anywhere from $50-$100 to a night out at the casino. It’s not a whole lot of money to work with, considering a couple factors such as higher line bets on some machines and a huge selection of different machines. With this in mind, it’s easy to see how fun most machines look, and therefore want the chance to play as many of them as possible. Whether an avid slot player is playing just for fun, or the prospect of making a nice healthy return, it’s a good idea to know some of the most liberal paying slot machines so you can double, triple or more, the money that you do have. After spending many quality hours interviewing players and watching others play some video slot machines, here is what they say are the most frequent paying games.

5.Carnival Of Mystery (IGT)-A perennial classic and still a hugely popular game, Carnival of Mystery offers plenty to slot players. Wildly frequent hitting bonus games with multipliers and a multi-way paying reel format make this one of the top tier high payback machines. The minimum bet is only 25 for max lines, but I would personally ramp this up to 50 or even 75 credits per spin to maximize the win factor. Not only will you enjoy the flavorful graphics and icons, but you’ll be surprised at the huge wins you’ll receive!

4.Sun & Moon (Aristocrat)-Popular for a couple reasons. One, you win just about every other spin! And second, the bonus is extremely easy to attain. Win the bonus by getting two or more scatter sun and moon wild symbols from left to right and you initiate the spins feature. Even with such a low bet, like 20 or 40 credits, I’ve seen hundreds of dollars won effortlessly and frequently! And best of all, you can win up to 50 free spins! Probably the most free spins available on any machine!

3.Sirens or Cave King (IGT)-Both games are very much the same, just a different type of genre of character. Both games feature a huge paying stacked symbol layout with gorgeous graphics and liberal pays like none other. The best part about these machines is the bonus. Initiate it with only three or more scattered bonus symbols and you’ll be ready to play the free spins feature. In the free spins, there’s a lot going on. You can get paid on line wins from left to right and right to left, so there’s a lot to be looking forward to even if you don’t hit anything matching on the first couple reels. Secondly, if you spell out bonus, you have the opportunity to play a secondary game where you can win huge jackpots. Up to a thousand dollars in some cases!!

2.50 Lions (Aristocrat)-Not much to be said here about this classic video slot. One of the hugely successful releases by this company, 50 Lions gets you excited from the start. The initial game play is easy to understand and it pays very frequently. Most of the time you get paid your bet back and then some. The bonus is huge with the stacked wild and lion symbols that pays huge money just about all the time. If you only have $20, I highly recommend giving this one a try when you first get to the casino.

1.Coyote Moon (IGT)-IGT had a runaway success with this machine and most others like it. Adding just an extra row and implementing stacked wilds on a machine for the first time made this a scorching release. Bet only 40 or 80 and you will certainly make 5-10 times your money in minutes, it’s that good! Players only get five bonus spins when triggered, but it pays huge and the bonus retriggers very frequently. Making this the ultimate game to play if you are trying to win lots of money on just your $20.

And that rounds out the list of favorites that players say makes them the most money with minimal bets. Additionally, the great news is that you don’t have to bet a lot to win a lot, in most instances, only 25-50 cents a shot will do just fine! So the next time you’re in the casino, check out these popular games and make them your first choice!

No matter I like to do for fun in my life, nothing can come close to the thrill and adrenaline rush that I would get every time I go out to the local gambling casino to try my luck there. It seems like it must be genetically built in for us as human beings. This is when I started to research the history of gambling. Turns out that human beings have been gambling ever since recorded history.

Archeologists were the first ones to find evidence of gambling behaviors in actual cavemen when they recovered dice-like objects that dated back over 41000 years ago that were made up animal bones. They also found cave paintings that depicted our ancestors performing gambling like behaviors. They even found pairs of dice that dated back to the Roman Empire. In fact during a period in Roman times it was required for parents to have their kids learn how to gamble. If this law were passed during modern times parents would be at an uproar over it, so in this aspect The roman empire was very liberal. In fact it was purported that ancient Roman soldiers actually gambled for the robes of Jesus.

Evidence of gambling was even found over 4000 years ago in the chinese culture. Their game of chance was developed by using actual riles. The ancient Greeks were the most perplexing when it came to their gambling behaviors. Although Greek soldiers loved to gamble with dice games, Greek society for some reason made gambling illegal. For a very liberal society as the Greeks this behavior always puzzled me.

As far as American gambling history the first gambling establishments back in early American times were called saloons. These saloons were not only important as hot gambling spots but they were a great place where weary travelers coming from all over the country could meet and make friends. In essence these saloons had started to become social areas where people could make long lasting bonds and associations for life. During the early part of the 20th century the American government for some reason felt that gambling should be banned so they made it so by passing a series of laws. In 1931 however, the government decided to make a compromise on this by making gambling legal in 2 states: Nevada and New Jersey. This is how these 2 states became famous gambling hubs with Atlantic City and Las Vegas leading the way.

We owe our gambling beginnings to a few ancient cavemen that decided that it would be fun throwing a few modified animal bones around. Imagine that.
